The Vienna Gay Men's Chorus (VGMC) was founded in 2024 and has a mission statement and values that include the following:

• Mission: To create musical experiences that inspire change, build community, challenge perspectives, celebrate diversity and enrich the human experience.

• Values: To be a safe and welcoming community, to act with integrity and to treat everyone with dignity, respect and human kindness.

• Objectives: To celebrate diversity, reflect Vienna's unique multicultural palette and change hearts and minds through music.

• Commitment: We aim to be a safe place for all people, regardless of ethnicity, class, gender, ability and other identities.

• Recognition: We recognise the importance of underrepresented communities, voices and cross-cutting connections between cultures, communities and individuals.

The VGMC is open to all, from experienced singers to beginners, and welcomes people from all backgrounds.
