Help Shape the Future of LEGATO
LEGATO is powered by volunteers. Every project we deliver, every partnership we build, and every opportunity we create for LGBTQ+ choirs across Europe happens because people choose to share their time, skills and passion with our community.
Whether you're an experienced leader, a passionate organiser, a communicator, fundraiser, musician, advocate, or simply someone who cares about LGBTQ+ choirs, we'd love to hear from you.

Join the LEGATO Board
The LEGATO Board provides leadership, strategic direction and oversight for our organisation. Board members help guide our priorities, support our volunteers, represent our members, and ensure that LEGATO continues to grow and thrive. Based on the role description, board members help shape strategy, oversee governance and finances, support fundraising and partnerships, and act as ambassadors for the organisation.
You do not need previous board experience to apply.
We're looking for people who care about our mission, can work collaboratively, and are willing to contribute their ideas, skills and experience to our European LGBTQ+ choral community.
Why join the LEGATO Board?
Real Impact
Guide the strategic direction and financial viability of an international non-profit with a rich 25-year legacy.
Vibrant Community

Growth & Peer Support
Develop your leadership skills through hands-on experience, collaborative knowledge-sharing, and peer-to-peer mentorship.

-
Around four online board meetings each year
-
One in-person board meeting during LEGATO Academy
-
Participation in at least one working group or committee
-
Acting as an ambassador for LEGATO within our network and beyond

We particularly encourage applications from:
-
Trans and non-binary people
-
People of colour
-
Members from Southern, Central and Eastern Europe
-
People whose experiences and perspectives are currently underrepresented within our leadership
LEGATO is strongest when our leadership reflects the diversity of our community.

Based on the current Team LEGATO recruitment information, volunteers play a key role in supporting member choirs, managing projects and helping the network grow.
We're currently especially interested in people with experience or interest in:
-
Communications and social media
-
Fundraising and grant applications
-
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
-
Project coordination
-
Membership engagement
Whether you can contribute a few hours each month or take on a larger project, we'd love to hear from you.
