"Queer at Heart is an LGBTQIA+ vocal group of around twenty singers, open to all levels of experience and to adults of any age. The choir rehearses weekly in two strands — one for newcomers, one focused on performance — and works without auditions.

Our repertoire is contemporary and largely Lusophone and Latin American: Brazilian popular song, Portuguese songwriting and reimagined fado, Cape Verdean and Argentine folk, with occasional soul and jazz standards. We sing in Portuguese, Spanish and English, in arrangements written for the group. We choose songs that speak to feminist and LGBTQIA+ experience, and we distribute voices by range and preference rather than by gender, so our arrangements do not assume the conventional SATB division.

We sing in concert halls, at festivals, and at demonstrations and public events."
