ABOUT

The Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus are proud to be one of the largest intergenerational gay men’s choruses in the UK, and our mission is not only to entertain and celebrate through music, but to promote a positive image of the LGBTQ+ community, spread a message of love and acceptance, and create a safe space where everyone feels they belong.

Whether you’re an experienced singer, someone who hums along to the radio or belts out tunes in the shower, we welcome you. Our members come from all walks of life, united by a shared passion for music and a desire to be part of a supportive, inclusive community.

The Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus also has a smaller, more agile, Ensemble group.  The Ensemble provides additional opportunities for members to develop as performers and helps to raise funds that make a vital contribution to our Bursary Fund. Members who qualify for the bursary fund can travel and participate in our National and European shows at a reduced cost to themselves.

We have a wide range of social groups, from games nights to horticulture, hiking, a book club and other special interest groups that get added, instigated by members. All further proof of the power of music in building social and supportive connections through the shared joy of song.

mostly rock/pop/musicals, some classical
