World Premiere: ALL OF US

A week after the conclusion of Cologne Pride — one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations — the Rainbow Symphony Cologne will make another musical statement on 12 July 2026: the orchestra will perform the world premiere of “All of Us”, a five-movement orchestral work by the American composer Beth Denisch. The concert will take place in the VHS Forum of the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum — a venue that, like few others in Cologne, stands for cultural diversity and the meeting of world cultures.

“All of Us” was commissioned by a consortium of five LGBTQ+ orchestras. Each of the five movements is dedicated to a figure selected by the respective ensemble — people whose lives and work have shaped the LGBTQ+ community. The world premiere in Cologne marks the start of an international performance cycle: over the next eighteen months, each of the five ensembles will perform the work in its home city.
