The First Mallorca Gay Chorus Festival was held 7.-9. May 2015 and is was a great success. Please read the short review and pictures of Joan Laínez, the musical director of the hosting choir Mallorca Gay Men's Chorus:
First of all, we want to thank all the attention and good responses that we received from you along the festival, we are very pleased that you wanted to be part of it.
I can tell that it has been an absolute success, due to the choirs that joined in showing their biggest and strongest effort (EQUIVOX from Paris, Pink Singers from London and Barcelona Rainbow Singers), the theatres that took part of it, the politicians that helped us giving their support, and the great sponsor work also.
This first gay chorus festival in Spain had great effect in TV, radios and newspapers (local and national). Social media has been a good source of promotion too, especially Facebook and Twitter. I think Majorcan society understood the message of the event, showing high notes of respect with LGTB community, joining our shows all around the island and giving us their congratulations talking about how wonderful they found our work.
We’ll keep updating our website with all the info about the festival and we’ll keep in touch with you telling all about the following edition that we hope it to happen as soon as possible.
